STATE GRANTS AWARDED TO SUPPORT STATEWIDE LIBRARY SERVICES IN PA.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education has awarded library organizations over a million dollars in competitive grants. State officials say the money will be used to develop services that will help libraries better serve communities and become better equipped to be so-called anchor institutions. The Pennsylvania Library Association is receiving over 200-thousand-dollars and the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association is getting nearly 92-thousand-dollar in grant money.
