Cumberland/Frostburg Farmer’s Markets
Now through October, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Farmer’s Markets in Cumberland and Frostburg will continue through October. In Cumberland, they are held Thursdays, through October 24th; in Frostburg, on Fridays, at City Place, through October 25th; and, again in Cumberland, at the Canal Place Depot, on Saturdays, through October 26th. Hours for each are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dates and times for the Frostburg Winter Market have yet to be determined. Vendor applications for the Cumberland and Frostburg markets are closed for this year. Take advantage and buy locally produced fruits, vegetables, plants, meats, and other items at the Farmer’s Market!
Sunday in the Park Concert Series

The city of Cumberland’s Parks and Recreation Department proudly presents the 2024 Sunday in the Park Series. They’re held every Sunday at the Constitution Park Amphitheatre, for a concert under the stars. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., and they are free and open to the public!

St. Luke’s Vendor Craft Show and Bake Sale
Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
St. Luke’s Lutheran Church will hold a vendor craft show and bake sale at the church, 1601 Frederick Street. The show and sale are being held to help start the new food pantry. If you are interested in learning more, call (814)-494-5667.
Salisbury-Elk Lick FFA Cash Bingo
Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Salisbury-Elk Lick FFA will have a cash bingo event on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Early Birds at 1 p.m. (extra charge). The cost is $10 per person, with six paper cards per game. There will be a basket raffle and 50/50 tickets will also be sold. Concession stand opens at 12 noon. The event will be held at the Meyersdale Elks Lodge at 235 Dale Street.
Park Place UMC 130th Anniversary Celebration
Beginning July 17, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Park Place United Methodist Church in LaVale is celebrating its 130th anniversary, beginning on Wednesday, July 17th. From 11 a.m to 1 p.m., there will be a U.S. Flag Raising Ceremony and Invocation. Activities continue on July 20th and 21st, with an Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 20th. Three Churches School Reunion
July 27, 2024, beginning at 10 a.m.
The Three Churches School Reunion will be held on July 27th at the Jersey Mountain Ruritan Building at Three Churches, West Virginia. The event starts at 10 a.m., with lunch at 12:30 p.m. Meat and drinks will be furnished. Please bring a covered dish of a vegetable, salad or dessert. Hope to see you there!
