The Frankfort High School Athletic Booster Club will hold its first ever elimination dinner on March 1st. The dinner will be held at Brookedale Farm at 6 p.m. Over $3500 in cash prizes (including a $1,000 grand prize) will be given out; dinner will be catered by “Getting Piggy with It,” and music by DJ Everline. Grant County Arts Council “Women in War” Exhibit

The Moomau Library is hosting a new exhibit, sponsored by the Grant County Arts Council, entitled, “Women in War.” This is a traveling exhibition from the U.S. Army Women’s Museum, Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. It is being shown in venues around West Virginia, courtesy of the West Virginia Humanities Council and the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs. The exhibit is free and open to the public and is availabnle for viewing during regular library hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A closing date will be announced. Deep Creek Dunk

Hooley Plunge

The annual Hooley Plunge is on Saturday, March1, 2025, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. The Plunge starts at 1 p.m. The largest single-day fundraiser in Allegany County has raised over $2 million over the years for the developmentally disabled, Special Olympics, Troop 89, and School Programs.
