The Cumberland Mayor and City Council met in closed session this week to receive legal advice on projects at 19 Frederick Street and the former Memorial Hospital site. As for the Frederick Street property, the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation says it has received more than 20 proposals to develop the building. And, in 2023, the CEDC contracted with RAZ Development in a$36 million deal to build more than 250 housing units at the site of the former Memorial Hospital, according to the Cumberland Times-News.
