Preston County residents are still getting over the shocking news that their sheriff died suddenly Monday night. Paul “Moe” Pritt died at Ruby Memorial Hospital where he was fighting off an aggressive infection. Pritt ran unopposed on yesterday’s ballot. Former Sheriff Jim Fields has been named interim sheriff. No funeral arrangements have been announced for Sheriff Pritt.
