Maryland’s primary election day 2024 is in the books and the unofficial results are in. As expected President Biden won the Democratic race and former President Donald Trump took the Republican primary. In the U.S. Senate race to replace the retiring Ben Cardin, Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks gets the nod over fellow Democrat David Trone, who spent 64-million-dollars of his own money on the campaign. On the Republican side, former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan received more than 60-percent of the vote with former Maryland State Delegate Robin Ficker bringing in around 30-percent. In the 6th Congressional District race, Democrat April McClain Delaney will oppose Republican Neil Parrott in the November general election.
