A Hagerstown man has been sentenced for the sexual abuse of a minor. Nicholas Wayne Summers appeared in Frederick County Circuit Court Monday and was handed a sentenced of 40 years with all but 19 suspended for two counts of second-degree rape. In 2023, the victim’s mother told a Sheriff’s Deputy her child made a social media post about a traumatic incident and Summers sexually assaulted her child in Montgomery and Frederick Counties over a period of three-years.
