NAACP SEEKS PRESIDENTIAL PARDON FOR MARILYN MOSBY

The NAACP is calling on President Biden to pardon former Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.  The civil rights group and 14 other organizations sent a letter to Biden, claiming Mosby is the victim of a “meritless indictment” advanced by the Justice Department under former President Trump’s administration.  The groups also say the current administration ignored a “clear political motive of the malicious prosecution” against Mosby.  She faces up to 40 years in prison when she’s sentenced on May 23rd for perjury and mortgage fraud convictions.
