MAN SENTENCED IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INCIDENT

Friendsville resident Andrew Lottig was sentenced to 18 months in the Garrett County Detention Center, after pleading guilty to an April 2024 domestic violence incident. He was charged after he admitted to assaulting a female companion. During the incident, he had also brandished a weapon, which was recovered by Maryland State Police troopers. The victim’s injuries were consistent with her account. Garrett County State’s attorney Chrisian Mash noted Lottig will complete treatment to “address the underlying causes of his behavior.”
