BIDEN NAMES U.S. MAGISTRATE TO MARYLAND FEDERAL BENCH

President Biden has nominated U.S. Magistrate Judge Adam Abelson to fill a vacancy on the U.S. District Court for Maryland.  If approved by the U.S. Senate, Abelson will fill the vacancy created when U.S. District Judge James Bredar transitioned to senor status, a form of semi-retirement.  Maryland Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen had recommended Judge Abelson to President Biden.  Prior to his judicial service, Abelson worked in private law practice.
