GOVERNOR APPOINTS INTERIM DIRECTOR FOR COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS

Governor Wes Moore has appointed Cleveland Horton, the Second as interim director for the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights. The appointment follows the retirement of former executive director Alvin Gillard, after nearly a decade of service. The governor says he thanks Gillard for his service to the commission and he thanks Horton for raising his hand to serve. Horton has most recently served as Deputy Director. The search for a permanent executive director is underway.
