Later this month the Mountain Valley Pipeline could be up and operational. It was nearly a decade ago when the Mountain Valley Pipeline was first proposed. Environmental delays, and increased costs have plagued the project for years. The original price tag was less than four-billion-dollars, and now it is nearly eight-billion-dollars. May 31st is the date the pipeline could be in use, but it must be approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The 300-mile pipeline runs through parts of Greenbrier, Monroe, Nicholas, Summers, Braxton, Harrison, Lewis, Webster and Wetzel Counties.
