Since 2020, Weirton Medical Center has been a clinical affiliate with WVU Medicine. Now, WMC has decided to become a full affiliate. The letter of intent to join the West Virginia University Health System has been signed. Weirton Medical Center has over 14-hundred employees at its 238-bed acute care hospital in Hancock County.
