GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH COULD INTERFERE WITH RADIO TRANSMISSIONS ON EARTH

Space weather forecasters have issued a geomagnetic storm watch. The event stems from an outburst of plasma from a solar flare, which officials also say could interfere with radio transmissions on Earth. But they say there’s no need to be concerned and add that there could be an added bonus; the storm could make for great aurora viewing, even across Pennsylvania. The watch has been issued by the National Space Weather Prediction Center in Boulder, Colorado.
