HOUSE BILL TO LIFE VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS REMAINS UNDECIDED

Governor Jim Justice has not publicly announced whether he will support a House bill that would remove vaccination requirements for virtual schools in West Virginia. House Bill 5105 would also allow private and parochial schools to set their own standards. Health professionals have urged the governor to veto the measure over student and public safety concerns, while parents demand passage on personal freedom grounds. District 3 Delegate Jimmy Willis, who voted against the measure says the state could take some steps to make the vaccination process better for parents.
