A children’s advocacy group says the percentage of Pennsylvania children who lack health insurance is growing. A report by the Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children says the rate has increased over the past two years from four-point-four percent to five-point-two percent. Altogether, they say some 145-thousand Pennsylvania children don’t have health coverage. The group also says the state’s backslide will likely continue as Pennsylvania, like many other states, has ended the continuous coverage that had been provided to Medicaid enrollees during the COVID-pandemic.
