GOVERNOR PREVIEWS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Governor Josh Shapiro is previewing his plan for economic development and creating new jobs. He floated the ideas for his Pennsylvania Economic Development Strategy earlier this week at an event in Bethlehem, ahead of his new budget address next week. The plan prioritizes five key industries to grow and create jobs. Those are agriculture, energy, life sciences, manufacturing and robotics and technology. He says ways to pay for them will be included in his state budget for fiscal year 2024-25.
