TURNPIKE FEES WILL BE HIGHER FOR THANKSGIVING TRAVELERS

Pennsylvania State transportation officials say you need to budget for turnpike fees if you’re traveling on state roads for the holiday. If you don’t use an E-ZPass, you’ll pay about 50-dollars in full-price tolls – one way – to Harrisburg. That amount can be cut in half if you use an E-ZPass. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission approved a five percent increase last July, which will take effect on January 7th of 2024. Under state law, rate increases will occur every year through at least 2053.
