MEASURE WOULD PROTECT INDIVIDUALS IN PA. FROM ABORTION-RELATED CRIMES

A measure that would keep women from being criminally penalized by other states for reproductive rights recently cleared the state House. House Bill 1786, sponsored by state Representatives Mary Jo Daley and Melissa Shusterman, would prohibit Pennsylvania courts from cooperating with out-of-state civil and criminal cases involving reproductive healthcare services. The measure would also prevent officials from other states from arresting individuals in Pennsylvania for abortion-related crimes.
