The second federal trial of former Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby is now set for January. Mosby is accused of making false statements on loan applications for a pair of Florida vacation homes. A judge on Wednesday issued an order directing jury selection in the case to start on January 16th, with the trial set to begin two days later. Last week, a jury found Mosby guilty of lying to withdraw money from a city retirement account after she claimed her travel business suffered financial losses during the COVID pandemic. She’ll face sentencing for those convictions after her second trial.
