The prosecution in the trial of former State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby has rested its case after two days of testimony and calling only three witnesses. Their witnesses included a forensic accountant from the FBI who testified about Mosby’s financial records. The defense then brought in the president of the Downtown Partnership — Shelonda Stokes — to testify about Mosby’s travel business. Mosby is accused of lying to obtain a COVID hardship withdrawal from a city retirement account to buy two vacation homes in Florida.
