A former Maryland state delegate and 2022 Republican candidate for governor has entered the primary for the 6th District U.S. Senate seat. Dan Cox posted the announcement on his Facebook page Monday, along with a video and a link to his campaign website. Cox says he’s deeply concerned about the financial burden of high inflation and the national debt, the “weaponized” criminal justice system and hundreds of thousands illegally crossing the southern border. Maryland’s current 6th District Representative is Democrat David Trone, who is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Ben Cardin.
