U.A.W. SEES GOOD COMING FROM FORD DEAL

The striking auto workers at the General Motors plant in Martinsburg are optimistic that the tentative agreement with Ford Motor Company will be good for their situation.  The President of UAW Local 1590 says he doubts that GM will take a back seat to Ford when it comes to new cars rolling off the assembly line.   The agreement with Ford includes a 25-percent raise over four years along with cost-of-living adjustments.
