A Cumberland woman has been charged with second-degree assault, following an investigation that began on October 12th. Forty-six-year-old Rachel Ann Murphy is accused of assaulting a man at a residence in the 100-block of Humbird Street. The victim’s injuries were consistent with his statement, and charges were filed at District Court. Ms. Murphy signed for her copy of the summons, and she was released, pending trial.
