GOVERNOR EXPECTED TO SIGN BILL TO INCREASE DOG LICENSE FEES

The Pennsylvania House also sent the governor a bill that would call for the first increase in dog license fees in more than 25 years. Senate Bill 746 would hike the cost of a dog license by two-dollars in 2025 and by another one more dollar in 2027. The Department of Agriculture says that the current cost of an annual dog license is six-dollars and 50 cents for a neutered or spayed pet and 8.50 for an intact animal. The legislation also calls for the Department of Agriculture to develop a statewide platform for dog license sales.
