PA. MAY BE EDGING TOWARD REFORM, DECRIMINALIZATION OF PSYCHEDELIC DRUGS

Pennsylvania is reportedly getting closer to decriminalizing psychedelic drugs. Reform that allows those kinds of drugs to be used for treatment of depression, PTSD and addiction is catching on in other states and supporters hope a state bill that stalled last March will be given new energy this fall. They say it might gain more footing now because of the majority of Democratic lawmakers in the House, and may be reintroduced. The previous measure would have promoted research into the therapeutic potential of psilocybin  – which is derived from so-called psychedelic mushrooms.
