PROPOSAL SUBMITTED TO RETURN RACING TO THE FAIRGROUNDS

Two car races this fall could lead to a full slate of racing next year at the Allegany County Fairgrounds. . A proposal was presented to the Allegany County Commissioners yesterday by Christopher Toey of Mountain Maryland Ventures, LLC. The COVID-19 pandemic and the lack of a contract with a promoter had led to the suspension of racing for about three years. All three commissioners voted in favor of the preliminary plans for racing.
