MASTRIANO WANTS EMS TO REPORT TO STATE OVERDOSE DATABASE

State Senator Doug Mastriano says he’ll introduce a bill soon that will mandate that EMS personnel track drug overdoses. It would require emergency medical services companies to submit reports to the state in compliance with a law that started last year. Right now, it only requires law officers to notify the Overdose Information Network about O-D cases within 72 hours. Mastriano says the system has already logged 78-hundred overdoses this year alone.
