New data this morning shows that students are excelling in English Language Arts. The MSDE says there’s been a sharp improvement in the testing results of the latest Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program in literacy and math. In fact, literacy results surpassed pre-pandemic numbers. State officials say Maryland youngsters that were in the 3rd grade last year reached a nine-year high when it comes to proficiency rate.
