A $187,500 federal grant has been awarded to Allegany College of Maryland to offset the cost of the $2.6 million renovation of the campus’ Zimmer Theatre. The announcement came from the offices of Representative David Trone, along with Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen. The theatre renovation will include new audio and visual equipment, acoustic ceiling clouds for advanced sound, new seating, and Americans with Disabilities Act access, according to the Cumberland Times-News.
