Marilyn Mosby’s defense attorneys are requesting an extension of the filing date for their request to move her upcoming federal trial out of Baltimore. Mosby’s defense wants the deadline moved from this Friday to Monday, August 21st. Attorneys for the former City State’s Attorney maintain she cannot get a fair trial in Baltimore because of the extensive coverage of the case and they are again requesting a move to Greenbelt. Mosby faces charges that include perjury and making false mortgage statements in the purchase of two Florida vacation homes. In January, a federal judge in Baltimore turned down a defense request for a change of venue. Mosby’s trial is set to begin November 2nd.
