Maryland education leaders are recognizing the 2023-2024 Teachers of the Year. State Superintendent of Schools Mohammed Choudhury welcomed the 24 instructors at a state school board meeting today in Baltimore. Each Maryland jurisdiction chooses a local Teacher of the Year who “exemplifies outstanding work as an educator.” The Maryland Teacher of the Year will be announced in the fall and the state winner will also compete for National Teacher of the Year.
