NEW FEDERAL DATA SHOWS PA. TEENS PAID LOWEST FOR SUMMER JOBS

Researchers from a group called Cool Jobs say Pennsylvania teens earn about a hundred-dollars-per-month less for their summer jobs than teens in other parts of the country. Among the 47 states with data available from the U.S. Department of Labor, the group says Pennsylvania is the 4th worst-paying. In the commonwealth, the average monthly earnings for such jobs is just under 780-dollars.  The report says the lower wages might be due to a variety of factors, such as lower minimum wage rates and local economic conditions.
