UMD RECEIVES GRANT TO RECRUIT STUDENT TEACHERS

The University of Maryland is working on a new program to train future child care educators.  It’s called Maryland Early Ed-Corp and the school received a two-point-nine-million-dollar grant from the state’s Department of Education to get it off the ground.  The goal is to recruit teachers for ages 3-to-5 in communities that need people in the classroom.  It’s a 15-month program and more details can be found online.
