Cumberland resident Starasia Leslie Smith faces numerous charges of telephone misuse following an incident on April 26th, where she allegedly made thirty emergency 911 calls in 24-hour period. Each time a call was made, the caller would hang up. When officers responded to the Weber Street address, she refused to speak to officers or identify herself. She also refused to exit the residents and actively resisted arrest. She received an initial appearance in District Court and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center and held on $1,000 bond.
