FETTERMAN TO CHAIR FIRST SUBCOMMITTEE HEARING

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman will be hitting the ground running when he returns to the Senate chamber next week. The Democrat and first-term senator checked himself into a hospital in February to be treated for clinical depression. On Wednesday, he’ll preside at an Agriculture subcommittee hearing on food and nutrition. A main point of the agenda is expected to be protections for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, formerly known as food stamps.
