Speed is being cited as a factor in a fatal crash early yesterday morning on East Industrial Boulevard at Pennsylvania Avenue. The driver, who has yet to be identified, lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into a utility pole and an unoccupied residence. The victim’s identity is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin. Industrial Boulevard, from Pennsylvania to Virginia Avenue was closed for more than three hours, following the 1 a.m. crash. The victim was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is continuing.
