MD. GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES ADVANCED CLEAN CARS II RULE

Governor Wes Moore has announced that Maryland is committed to adopting the Advanced Clean Cars II rule. The regulation follows California’s lead in requiring manufacturers to increase the share of electric vehicles they sell with a goal of reaching 100-percent of passenger car and light truck sales by model year 2035. The governor says it’s a major step in the state’s effort to improve air quality and combat the effects of climate change.  He says the initiative will have generational impacts.
