A new bill passed in the House yesterday would require anyone getting married be at least 18-years old. Even if mom and dad say it is okay with them, if House Bill 3018 becomes law, the marriage will not be allowed to happen. The new bill would have no effect on anyone who is married now, and under the age of 18.
