Westover, West Virginia resident David Monroe Adams has been arrested for the murder of Jerimiah “Jerry” Matthew Watkins in 1985. Adams was 18 at the time of the murder, and had been the focus of the investigation; Adams is now 56 years old. Watkins’ body was found in a shallow grave near railroad tracks in 1985; an autopsy determined he died from a stab wound to the back. Adams is being held on a million dollars bond.
