MARYLANDERS CAN NOW FILE 2022 TAX RETURNS

Tax season is underway and that means Marylanders can now file their 2022 state and federal returns.  Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman says this year taxes must be filed by April 18 and the state has staff on hand for those who need assistance. Taxpayers are encouraged to file returns electronically and use direct deposit for the fastest processing.  Last year, the Comptroller’s Office processed more than 3-point-1-million individual state tax returns with refunds totaling nearly 2-point-1-billion dollars. Taxpayers can call 1-800-MD-TAXES for more information.
