ANNAPOLIS PREPARING FOR INAUGURATION DAY

The City of Annapolis continues to prepare for today’s inauguration of Governor-elect Wes Moore and Lt. Governor-elect Aruna Miller.  There are already some road closures and parking restrictions in effect with more to follow. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at noon today inside the State House followed  by a public ceremony on the northwest side of the State House facing Lawyer’s Mall. The outdoor ceremony is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. There will be a ceremonial 19-gun salute between 12:45 and 1 p.m. and the Rowe Boulevard spur to Northwest Street will be temporarily closed.  The inaugural ceremony activities are expected to conclude at around 2:30 p.m.
