A panel of 12 jurors is in place in the trial of suspended Somerset County District Attorney Jeffrey Thomas’ sexual assault case; jury selection is continuing to find four alternates in the case. Thomas is accused of illegally entering a Windber woman’s home in 2021, and sexually assaulting and strangling her, before she was able to break free. Thomas has pleaded not guilty and plans to defend himself in court. The trial will begin on March 8th.
