NEIGHBORHOOD SAFETY GRANTS

Another round of funding is being distributed in Maryland  to support local crime prevention.  The state is dishing out nearly 10-million-dollars in Neighborhood Safety Grant Awards.  Governor Hogan said that well over 100 non-profits, local governments and neighborhood associations will benefit from the money.  Hogan said the money will directly help local police departments as they attempt to cut down on crime.  To date, the Community Safety Works program has helped nearly 500-organizations statewide.
