Most Americans don’t plan to get flu shots this season. According to a survey by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, only 49-percent of adults in the U.S. intend to get flu shots, and one in five who are at higher risk of flu-related complications say they won’t get flu shots. More Americans are leaning toward wearing a mask to protect against the flu. Fifty-eight percent of those surveyed said they’ll mask at least some of the time this flu season, almost ten-percentage points more than adults who will be rolling up their sleeves for flu shots.
