Baltimore TV Meteorologist Bob Turk is retiring after almost 50-years on the air. The man known as the “Sunshine Kid” says it’s with “immense sadness” that he’s announcing his retirement from WJZ-TV. He posted a message on Twitter that said the people of Baltimore have shown immense love and support throughout his entire career and it’s been an absolute privilege to be a part of their life. Turk says just like the weather, the wind can move us in different directions. Turk’s first broadcast on WJZ-TV was in April of 1973.
