The top three vote getters in the Republican primary for the Allegany County Commission were incumbents Dave Caporale, Creade Brodie, Jr., and Bill Atkinson. Caporale gained nearly 26 per cent of the vote, with Brodie and Atkinson garnering over 23 and 18 per cent, respectively. In the race for Allegany County Board of Education, incumbents David Bohn and Bob Farrell received the most votes, along with newcomer Linda Widmyer, who received just over 16 per cent of the vote. And, Rock Cioni received over 33 per cent of the vote in the Cumberland City Council race. Jimmy Furstenberg received just over 18 per cent of the vote.
