CUMBERLAND MAN CHARGED WITH FRAUD, OBSTRUCTING AND HINDERING

Cumberland resident Evan McKinley West was served an arrest warrant, a bench warrant, and a criminal summons on Wednesday. The arrest warrant was issued as the result of a private company filing charges for theft. The bench warrant was issued for failure to appear for a court case in May. And, the summons was issued following a traffic stop on Interstate 68 Westbound, where West allegedly provided police with false information to avoid prosecution. He received a District Court hearing and later released on two, $5,000 unsecured personal bonds.
