The Pennsylvania House Judiciary Committee has passed a bill that would make it illegal to run away from police. There are currently laws on the books that make it illegal to drive off from police but not about fleeing on foot. Senate Bill 814, this would change that. The bill has made its way through the House committee by a 15-9 vote; it now moves to the full House for consideration.
