Joe Manchin’s approval rating has jumped more than any sitting senator over the past year. A poll says the approval rating of the West Virginia Democrat currently sits at 57-percent. That’s a 17-percent jump over last year. Manchin has been criticized by several members of his own party for not backing President Biden’s two-trillion-plus social spending bill. The new poll has 69-percent of Republicans, 50-percent of independents and 44-percent of Democrats approving of his performance.
