WEST VIRGINIA FOOD DYE BAN SIGNED INTO LAW

West Virginia has just become the first state to sign sweeping food dye legislation, banning seven types of dye in the state. Governor Patrick Morrisey has signed the bill banning seven specific food dyes in schools and eventually statewide.  The law prohibits Red Dye Numbers three and forty, Yellow Dye Numbers five and six, Blue Dye Numbers one and two, and Green Dye Number three.  In just the first three months of this year, nearly 40 bills across 20 states have all taken aim at cracking down on even more artificial dyes.
